Vaccine Update – January 26, 2021

SCHD is contacting individuals on the waiting list to schedule vaccine appointments for this week. Please be patient as vaccine availability continues to be limited. To be added to the waiting list, please contact our office at 419-342-5226. You can also contact other vaccine providers in Richland County or adjacent counties.

If you receive your vaccination at SCHD, you will receive the Moderna vaccine.  This is a 2-dose vaccine with doses administered 28 days apart. You will receive information on the second dose at your initial appointment.

Vaccine Update – January 19, 2021

All of SCHD’s available vaccine appointments for this week have been booked. There are currently more than 600 people on the waiting list. We advise people to contact another vaccine provider in the county, such as OhioHealth, Avita, or the identified pharmacies for appointment availability. How to Schedule a COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment

All vaccines will be given by appointment only. Supply is limited and changes every week. Appointments will only be scheduled for individuals qualified based on the phase of Ohio’s vaccination program.

Appointments will be scheduled beginning Tuesday, January 19 and offered weekdays from 12:00pm – 4:00pm.

Richland County Vaccine Providers

COVID-19 vaccines are available from multiple providers in Richland County. All vaccines are by appointment only. Availability is expected to be very limited. A complete list of vaccine providers is available here –> Richland Public Health Vaccine Registration

Richland County Vaccine Providers

The health department will begin vaccinating people identified in phase 1A on January 14. At this time, eligible recipients include:

  • healthcare workers
  • podiatrists
  • dentists
  • EMS responders
  • home healthcare workers
  • personnel who are routinely involved in the care of COVID-19 patients
  • workers who care for vulnerable individuals who live in close proximity/congregate care settings, such as residents and staff of nursing homes and assisted living facilities

Availability of vaccine is extremely limited. All vaccine is administered by appointment only. To schedule an appointment or add your name to the waiting list, contact the health department:

Additional clinics will be announced as doses are available. We will update the community when appointments are available for individuals identified in phase 1b and beyond.
